This is a beautiful Arboretum that gives you a little slice of nature in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city. The landscaping and grounds are easily walkable and beautiful. There is a small Japanese Garden that is quite lovely. It's a great place to spend some quiet time and walk around. It doesn't cost anything to visit and it's worth a stop in if you're in the area.

This place is awesome! I loved the beautiful grounds, flowers, children's area, Japanese garden and tiny home. All the sights and sounds of nature can be enjoyed here!

A cute little place to stop and enjoy some quiet moments. I went on Saturday morning. A lovely couple had a small coffee truck there. A great little stop during my quick trip to Wilmington.

What a precious gem in Wilmington! This Extension demonstration garden is a wonderful place to learn about plants and get some rest and relaxation in nature. There are some incredible plants here. There's a beautiful pond and water fountain and comfortable areas to sit and have a nice picnic. The North Carolina Cooperative Extension program in New Hanover County does a wonderful job maintaining the space with the support from the extension, Master Gardener, volunteers and the supporting non-profits that make the arboretum possible. It's a really great place to go learn about gardening in coastal North Carolina.

Beautiful place. Loved the traditional Japanese gardens, and the pond with the huge colorful koi especially. Also is a dog-friendly place, so we could bring our pup. Nice gift shop with some locally made items. Well worth a stop while in Wilmington. And it's free to visit!
